SCRAP SCULPTURE

Scrap metal is James’ chosen medium, it is wonderfully expressive and diverse and encourages countless creative routes.

Resourcefulness is central to James’ work, so much so that nothing is wasted, even the dust is swept off the floor and used in rusted paint finishes. Favoured scrap metal sources include farm yards, blacksmiths, mechanics, scrap heaps and even the odd discarded scaffolding bracket found on the street.
